One of my heroes, John Murtha, was interviewed recently by Amy Goodman of Democracy Now. He said he was very disappointed that Hillary "DLC" Clinton did not support his position to redeploy our troops from the bloody civil war in Iraq.
Murtha told Goodman: "Yeah, I'm disappointed. I'm not sure why that's happened. She talked to me after I made my statement. And I think - I don't know what the reason she's decided not to endorse my position."
Isn't this shameful of "DLC" Clinton not to support a military hero like Murtha's sensible position to redeploy our troops?
We are spending $8 billion a month to support this war in Iraq. For what? This is money that could be used for healthcare, our schools, our children here at home. It shouldn't be thrown away into some blood bath in the middle east.
We are spending $11 million per hour in the war on Iraq for the occupation there. Shouldn't that money be spent here at home on our own people? Hillary "DLC" Clinton doesn't think so. And there doesn't seem to be any outrage over it. She is not acting like a progressive Democrat. She is acting Republican-Lite.
We have 130,000 troops in Iraq, and they are getting shot at. Hillary thinks we should leave them there and not follow the sound advice of John Murtha to redeploy them? This is insanity. It's also insane that Democrats put up with her garbage. They say she has raised all of this money so shut up and support her. They say that she is going to be president. But I will never support her. She has slapped me in the face far too many times with her Republican-esque flip flopping.
We are occupying Iraq. We are making enemies there of the people of Iraq. We have to reduce our presence there. But Hillary Clinton doesn't think so. She thinks it's just fine that we are there. She even said at one point that we need even more troops there. She implied that we would be liberators of Iraq. But we are occupiers. She said Saddam had connections to Al Qaeda and that he had WMD. None of these wild fantasies of hers were true. She is totally delusional, it seems.
Hillary "DLC" Clinton needs to be removed from office immediately. We shouldn't even let it get to the point where she runs for president. She shouldn't even be a senator now. Vote for her anti-war, progressive opponent in the Democratic primary on Sept. 12, Jonathan Tasini. Send her a message that we don't agree with her pandering to red state voters. She should represent New York, not New Hampshire or Iowa. Send her packing. Send Tasini to Washington for real change.
